Fellini used to remind that Anita Ekberg lived in a quiet and peaceful villa in Genzano, a little town near Rome. Villa Anita is a huge property full of centuries-old olive trees and surrounded by a wide lawn that will offer its guests a comfortable and unforgettable stay.
This house has three floors, four bedrooms (two with double beds and two with single beds), five bathrooms, a double living room with sofas and a fireplace, a kitchen, a big garage, a basement, a warehouse and finally a terrace.
The whole property is surrounded by a lawn which is 7000 square metres big in which 80 secular olive trees live.
The villa was subjected to a fire in 2011, but today it got back to being splendid as it was once, except for the upper floor.
It is 3 km away from Genzano and the lakes of Nemi and Albano (known as Lago di Castello).
There is also a lounge made of iron and marble suitable for 8-10 people outside the house, in a little pine grove where Anita used to receive her special guests for a drink, away from the heat and prying eyes.
Near the house there is a canopy with a table for 16 people and a BBQ, perfect for a lovely night with friends and good wine.
The furniture is authentic, it was all used by the actress, in addition there are a lot of rewards and memories.
The living room presents also a table for 6 or 8 people and, climbing few steps, one can get into a well equipped kitchen.
On the upper floor, which is not completely available, there is a living room with a fireplace, a bathroom and a little room in which Anita used to get her makeup done.
If you love horse riding, near the property you can find the athletic association "Le Due Torri" ( which is also a restaurant) and the agritourism "Monte due Torri".
Genzano, famous for its Festivals and for the "Infiorata", a feast in which the citizens embellish the centre of the town with floral compositions, is full of good restaurants, in which one can try either typical dishes or international ones, and amazing wineries.
From Genzano one can get to the lake of Nemi, known because it was used for naval battles in the Roman period, and the lake of Albano which is topped by the summer residence of the Pope.
